Recreational Game Cancellations

Game cancellation policy, due to inclement weather

In the event of a game cancellation due to inclement weather:

* Program Director (Spring or Fall) will call divisional coordinators
* Coordinators will call each of their respective coaches ASAP
* Each Coach (or assigned alternative person) will call players ASAP

Coaches and coordinators are not allowed to cancel games unless they are on the field and lightening is present. We play in the rain.

It is frequently necessary for the Program Director (or assigned alternative person) to go to the fields shortly before the start of game day to determine if the conditions are suitable for play.

Generally, games will be cancelled whenever heavy rain is present, when the fields have formed puddles from recent heavy rain or whenever lightning is present.

Games and other events are "ON" unless you are notified otherwise. We will make every effort possible to post cancellations on the website, but this isn't always possible.

Litter

  • Please do your part to help keep Gambo Fields clean of litter. If the litter bugs spent hours cleaning the fields after a day of games, they'd probably clean up their act. The volunteers thank you.

Smoking:

  • Recognizing that adults are role models for all our players, smoking is not allowed in proximity to any fields at Gambo, as stated in the registration form.

Parking:

  • Kids dart from between parked cars along the road. Please park in the parking area.   Do not park along the road.

Volunteers Needed: Coaches, Referees, Field Development, More...

Our goal is to provide a fun environment for all players, regardless of playing experience.

If you or your child have any questions, suggestions or concerns, please speak with your coach or division coordinator. You can also communicate with us through the Website "Feedback Form" or by e-mail.

Team game schedules will be available on this website prior to the start of the  Season.
