Gambo Field Rules
Please follow these important rules
during games and practices...
Spectator Area:
Spectators, please watch the game from the side of the field opposite
the player benches, not on the players side of the field and not
anywhere near the goalkeeper area.
Animals:
Thank you for respecting the "No Animal Policy". In an effort to keep
the program as "kid safe" as possible we feel the no animal rule is
appropriate. Although the vast majority of animals are harmless, it's
the small minority that could put a child at risk. When it comes to the
kid's safety, we'd rather be safe than sorry.
Alcohol and Tobacco:
Alcohol and Tobacco are not allowed at (or in the vicinity of) Gambo
Fields.
Litter
Please do your part to help keep our fields clean. Every game-day there
is enough trash left on the sidelines (especially around the player
benches) to fill 3 large trash bags. This problem can be remedied fairly
quickly with everyone's help. Every coach should be inspecting
his or her player's bench at the conclusion of each practice and game.
The team should not depart until all the trash is picked up.
A very important message regarding Gambo and personal responsibility
There is nothing more important you can do while at Gambo than to drive very carefully for the safety of our children. Over 10 MPH is too fast! Watch the road, anticipating that a child (as young as 4 years of age) will be darting between parked cars in route to the field, or from the field to mom and dad's car. If you see someone driving inappropriately at Gambo, be a good citizen and possibly prevent a serious accident or tragedy by telling them to slow down or watch the road (not the field). Be loud, be heard! I'm sure it's a small percent of irresponsible people, but just one is too many! Please Speak Up!
Thank you
